About Us

Beck’s Books is a queer and neurodivergent-owned (primarily used) bookstore centering and celebrating marginalized voices. Our shop was born out of the a gap in the market--accessibly priced gently used books by authors who are often underrepresented on bookstore shelves.

We believe that everyone deserves to see themselves represented on the shelf, and that reading is an incredible way to expand your worldview and learn about other experiences. It’s been shown that reading increases empathy and compassion. We believe that reading diverse literature can move us toward a safer, more just, more liberated world.
